In the Severe Cold Wave... School Food's 'Eomuk Udon' Sales Up 52% School Food's '95.7% Eomuk Udon'.


[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] School Food announced on the 11th that the sales of ‘95.7% Eomuk Udon’ in December last year, when an unprecedented cold wave hit, increased by 52.3% compared to the same period the previous year.


95.7% Eomuk Udon is characterized by using premium fish cakes made with 95.7% fish meat, differentiating the raw materials from regular eomuk udon. Additionally, the chewy noodles and rich broth harmonize to make it very popular every winter season.


School Food plans to launch a new winter menu item, ‘Eomultteok Odengmul Tteok,’ on the 19th. Eomultteok Odengmul Tteok is a product filled with chewy rice cakes and two types of fish cakes in a deep broth, suitable for a meal or a snack for children, enjoyed by people of all ages.


A School Food representative said, “Soup dishes that have been popular every winter season recorded even higher demand this winter due to the severe cold.”
