Travel, Accommodation, and Airline Transactions Up 45%, Meal Kits and Cooking Boxes More Than Double
New Year's First Monthly 11th Sale, 'Time Deals' Up to 85% Off on Hotel Stays and More
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] 11st announced on the 11th that it has selected 'Self-Healing' as the shopping keyword for this year's 'Monthly 11th Day' and will focus on showcasing related products every month.
'Self-Healing,' meaning 'recovering by oneself,' was chosen by comparing and analyzing accumulated customer shopping data from previous Monthly 11th Day events. It reflects customers' consumption patterns seeking self-satisfaction and happiness without remaining in the stagnant atmosphere caused by COVID-19.
In the 'Monthly 11th Day' event held for the first time this year, offline leisure products for stress relief, health products centered on 'Naemonnaechaeng' (taking care of my body by myself), and convenient meals for easy one-meal preparation are expected to receive greater attention, and the relevant categories will be strengthened accordingly.
Through last year's Monthly 11th Day event, the transaction amount in the 'Travel·Accommodation·Airfare' category, which sells airline tickets, domestic accommodation products, and leisure admission tickets, increased by about 45% compared to 2020. In particular, the 'Tickets·Performances·Goods' category, including musical and exhibition tickets, more than doubled (113%). Sales of 'Health Measurement Devices' rose 18% compared to 2020, followed by increases in 'Eye Health Products' (19%), 'Rehabilitation Exercise Equipment' (16%), and 'Diabetes Management Products' (15%). The transaction amount in the 'Meal Kits·Cooking Boxes' category, which allows customers to easily prepare menus from famous restaurants and offline eateries by themselves, more than doubled (118%) last year, and 'Convenient Meals·Refrigerated·Frozen Foods' also increased by 19%.

On the same day, 11st held the first 'Monthly 11th Day' event of the new year under the theme 'Happy Letter,' selling 'Self-Healing' products such as hotel accommodation vouchers, exhibition tickets, and health products.
During the 'Time Deal' starting at 11 a.m., a total of 91 products will be sold at up to 85% discount by time slot, including domestic hotel accommodation vouchers such as 'Paradise City Hotel' and 'Jeju Shinhwa World,' 'Orthomol Immune Drink,' known as the 'luxury brand of vitamins,' 'Getty Images Photo Exhibition Tickets,' 'iNIK Air Fryer,' and 'Samsung Bespoke Jet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner.'
The top brand of January's Monthly 11th Day, 'Samsung Electronics,' will issue 'up to 200,000 KRW discount coupons' for one day and sell major popular home appliances such as refrigerators, dryers, and air conditioners at discounted prices. Special brands participating, 'Dyson' and 'LG Household & Health Care,' also gathered best-selling products such as 'Dyson Airwrap Volume & Shape' and 'Seol Gift Set for Daily Necessities' in one place.
On the 11th, a total of 11 live broadcasts will be held, offering discounted products such as ▲Coca-Cola 'Tiger Design Package' (11 a.m.) ▲Philips Sonicare 3100 Series (4 p.m.) ▲LG Tromm Washer Dryer Set (5 p.m.).
The 'Amazon Global Store' will also hold the 'Amazon Week' event from the 11th to the 17th. Through 'Daily Deals,' a total of 35 products including wrinkle improvement cream, latex pillows, and SSDs will be offered at special prices during the event period, and eight card companies will provide '10% discount coupons' (exclusive to SK Pay, up to 10,000 KRW for payments over 50,000 KRW).
