SNL 'Ju Reporter Goes' Featuring Woo Sang-ho
"If I Must Choose, I Pick My Habitual Gambling Son"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Woo Sang-ho, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, drew attention by mentioning former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk while answering a question about whether he would rather raise a 'daughter who forged a certificate' or a 'son who habitually gambled.'
On the 8th, Woo appeared on the 'Joo Reporter Goes' segment of Coupang Play's 'SNL Korea Season 2' and participated in a balance game interview where he had to choose one of two options unconditionally.
The interviewer, Joo Hyun-young, asked Woo, "If you had to raise one of the two?" presenting the options as 'a daughter who forged a certificate' and 'a son who habitually gambled.' This was aimed at the allegations of certificate forgery against former Minister Cho Kuk's daughter and habitual gambling allegations against the eldest son of Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung.
In response, Woo showed a flustered expression, saying, "This is maddening," and hesitated, "Do I really have to choose? I can't decide..." He then asked again, "This is a no-win question, sorry. Do I really have to choose?" before answering, "The son who habitually gambled."

When Joo Hyun-young asked for the reason behind his choice, Woo explained, "Gambling is something one can get temporarily absorbed in, and in some ways, it's like a sports game...Although it's habitual gambling, for example, it's a game of chance. The son who got involved in gambling can reflect and change." He added, seeming embarrassed, "This is the first time I've been this nervous meeting an intern reporter."
After the interview, Woo said, "How can you compare certificate forgery and gambling? This was the most serious balance game question posed to a politician on SNL so far. I lost to Cho Kuk. That's it now."
Meanwhile, 'Joo Reporter Goes' is a segment where Joo Hyun-young, playing the role of an intern reporter, asks unexpected questions to interviewees. So far, candidate Lee Jae-myung, People Power Party presidential candidate Yoon Seok-youl, Justice Party presidential candidate Sim Sang-jung, and People Power Party member Hong Joon-pyo have appeared.
