[Asia Economy Reporter Seoyoung Kwon] Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, condensed his life-oriented pledges into a 59-second video and released it.
On the 8th, Yoon posted a 59-second video containing policy details on his YouTube channel. In the video, Yoon appeared alongside Lee Jun-seok, the leader of the People Power Party, and Won Hee-ryong, head of the policy division of the campaign headquarters, pledging to freeze electric vehicle charging fees and allow subway season tickets to be used for bus transfers.
The introduction of the video featured a scene where Lee and Won exchanged conversations expressing the inconveniences of current policies. Later in the video, Yoon appeared, mimicking a famous digestive medicine commercial while patting his stomach. At the end of the video, Yoon, Lee, and Won linked arms and each encouraged viewers to engage with the YouTube content by saying "Like," "Subscribe," and "Turn on notifications."
The People Power Party stated that Lee, who came up with the idea for the pledge content, produced the video, and that young aides Kim Dong-wook, Park Min-young, and Oh Cheol-hwan wrote the script. Meanwhile, Lee posted on his Facebook that he plans to consistently release the '59-second pledge' series in cooperation with the policy division, writing, "We have drastically shortened the process from policy proposal to adoption," and "We push life-oriented policies quickly through Shorts videos. Faster than anyone else, differently from others."
