[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] The hotel industry has ignited a 'strawberry marketing' trend. They are offering a variety of options, from strawberry dessert buffets using seasonal strawberries to packages that include strawberry farm experiences.
According to the hotel industry on the 8th, each hotel is presenting upgraded strawberry desserts this season. InterContinental Seoul COEX is offering an authentic strawberry dessert buffet-style 'Strawberry Avenue' at the first-floor lobby lounge every weekend (Friday to Sunday) with limited seating until mid-April. They have prepared over 40 menu items including eco-friendly fresh strawberries delivered directly from farms, various strawberry desserts, special desserts made live by chefs, and world-themed menus. For the entire month of January, a 10% early bird discount is available for advance reservations and payments made through Naver.
Last season, Lotte Hotel Seoul's 'Must be Strawberry,' which was sold out daily, has been further upgraded this year to include original strawberry desserts by pastry chef Na Seong-ju, a gold medalist at the IKA Culinary Olympics. It will operate every weekend (including holidays) until May 8. Each table is served three types of welcome food, 22 kinds of desserts, and two drinks (coffee or tea). Along with various strawberry dessert menus, 13 meal replacement items such as sandwiches, salads, and hot dishes are also prepared. A 5% discount is offered for advance reservations made through Naver.
Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul's Granum Dining Lounge will present the strawberry dessert buffet 'Very Very Berry' every Friday to Sunday and on holidays until March 27. This promotion is also a signature dessert buffet event at Banyan Tree Seoul, which is fully booked every season. Fresh strawberries, croffles, strawberry cakes, and strawberry panna cotta are among the strawberry desserts available. Guests can also enjoy dishes like rice noodles, Thai salad, chili chicken, and pizza.
Brasserie THE 26 at Seoul Dragon City will offer 'Strawberry Studio' every weekend and on holidays until April 24. Along with strawberry tea served as a welcome drink and unlimited fresh strawberries, over 30 desserts such as sponge cake, tarts, and tiramisu are prepared. At the live station, winter snacks like bungeoppang are available in three varieties: curry, japchae, and red bean. Meal replacement menus such as jjambbong and pasta are also offered.
Paradise City will present the strawberry dessert buffet 'Strawberry Blossom Season 3' every weekend until March 13. Guests can enjoy a variety of menus from strawberry desserts like cakes and macarons to cold and hot dishes. The event takes place at 'Garden by Laku,' which offers a forest-like atmosphere. The dessert section includes 14 types of strawberry desserts such as shortcakes, tarts, jellies, and mousses. Brunch menus like bulgogi salad, anchangsal steak, and pollack roe oil pasta are also available. A 'live cooking' section operates where chefs prepare croffles on demand.
There is also a cost-effective strawberry dessert buffet. The Momo Bar at Courtyard Marriott Seoul Times Square Hotel runs the strawberry buffet 'Hansel and Gretel in Strawberry House' every weekend until April 30. Along with strawberry desserts and snack menus, unlimited sparkling wine, various strawberry-based drinks, coffee, and tea are provided.
Packages including strawberry farm experiences are also offered. Rolling Hills Hotel, operated by Haevichi Hotel & Resort, offers the 'My Little Farmer Package' until the 26th of next month.
