'Anita Director's Cut'·'Taiwan Crime Story' 'A Life Long Journey'
Walt Disney Company announced on the 6th that it will add four works to the Disney+ Asia-Pacific content lineup this year. They are 'Casino (working title)', the director's cut of 'Anita', 'Taiwan Crime Stories', and 'A Life Long Journey'. Jessica Kamp-Engle, Head of Content and Development for the Asia-Pacific region, said, "There is a high demand for high-quality Asian content and stories that evoke cultural empathy," adding, "Through continuous collaboration and sustained investment, we will help many creators shine on the global stage."
'Casino', produced domestically, is a crime action film that tells the captivating story of a casino king. Actor Choi Min-sik stars, and director Kang Yoon-sung, known for 'The Outlaws', directs. 'Anita' is a film depicting the life of Hong Kong singer and actress Anita Mui. It was selected as the closing film at last year's Busan International Film Festival. The director's cut, which will be broadcast on Disney+ on the 2nd of next month, consists of five episodes. An official explained, "It includes untold personal stories and several hit songs." 'Taiwan Crime Stories' is a series that investigates four criminal cases over 12 episodes. 'A Life Long Journey' is a drama focusing on the social changes experienced by the Chinese working class across multiple generations.
