HiteJinro Invests in IP Commerce Platform Startup 'Omniart'

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] HiteJinro announced on the 6th that it has selected the IP commerce platform startup OmniaArt (service name: EolkinCanvas), which commercializes and distributes intellectual property (IP) such as artworks, as an investment target and signed an equity investment contract.

'EolkinCanvas' is a platform where artists can register visual IP (artworks, characters, celebrities, corporate logos, etc.), and consumers can combine their preferred images with desired products (clothing, bags, daily necessities) to create their own custom products.

HiteJinro decided to invest, highly valuing the establishment of a new business model that connects licensors such as artists with consumers and sells not only products but also licenses. In particular, the ability to produce small quantities of various products based on a print system and e-fulfillment system is EolkinCanvas's differentiated core competency.

In fact, since launching the service in February last year, EolkinCanvas has secured 14,000 registered members within six months and continues to grow with over 50,000 monthly website visitors. EolkinCanvas's custom products are popular among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), who value personal taste, rarity, and ethical value consumption.

Huh Jae-kyun, Executive Director of New Business Development Team at HiteJinro, said, "We will provide continuous support for OmniaArt's growth," and added, "HiteJinro will continue to discover startups with competitiveness in various fields this year and expand collaboration with existing investment targets to increase the value of startups."
