[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Nam Bora, the eldest daughter of 13 siblings, revealed an anecdote related to the birth of her youngest sibling.
On the 5th, the MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star' aired a special episode titled '2022 Player Entrance!' featuring guests Nam Bora, broadcaster Seo Janghoon, Yoo Minsang, and Koo Ja-wook.
Known to have grown up as the eldest daughter in a family of 13 siblings, Nam Bora confessed that she was unaware of the birth of her youngest sibling that day. She explained, "I didn't know a youngest sibling was born. I really raised the 12th sibling like the youngest. I gave them the most expensive and best things and raised them with all my effort."
She said, "But one day when I went home, there was a child I didn't know," adding, "At that time, I was a college student, so I was coming and going to school and didn't know much about the family situation." In response, Seo Janghoon said, "The most baffling child must be the 12th," which caused laughter.
Nam Bora honestly shared her feelings at the time, saying, "I was very confused too. I wondered, 'Who is this?' and thought, 'Do I have to raise another one?' I didn't like it." She continued, "I hardly took care of (the sibling), but since my mother had a late pregnancy and was struggling, I took care of the youngest sibling. But as I raised them, they became so cute and I grew attached."
Nam Bora also shouted out to all the eldest daughters in Korea, saying, "Let's claim our rights. We are children too. Let's let go of everything. Let's not do it," which brought laughter.
