Saenghwal Gongjakso Launches 'Kitchen Detergent Eco Bag' to Promote Environmental Protection in Daily Life

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The daily necessities brand 'Saenghwal Gongjakso' announced on the 4th that it has launched the 'Kitchen Detergent Eco Pack,' which allows consumers to practice environmental protection in their daily lives.

Saenghwal Gongjakso newly introduced the Kitchen Detergent Eco Pack, consisting of three items: kitchen detergent in recycled containers, natural loofah, and a cotton pouch. The product aims to reduce the negative environmental impact of consumption while enabling customers to contribute to solving environmental issues through their purchases.

First, the kitchen detergent uses containers made with 50% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic, recycled from discarded plastic or glass after use, thereby reducing environmental burden. When using the refill kitchen detergent included in the set, plastic usage can be reduced by 75.5% compared to the company's existing products. It is an eco-friendly type 1 kitchen detergent certified by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, made with natural ingredients and baking soda, and can be used not only for washing dishes but also for cleaning fruits and vegetables.

The new product also includes a natural loofah and a cotton pouch. The natural loofah, made by drying the loofah plant from the cucumber family, can be used without worrying about microplastics and effectively removes grease with a small amount of detergent. The cotton pouch is breathable and absorbs moisture well, making it useful for various daily purposes such as storing vegetables in the refrigerator.

The enclosed message card and packaging are also made from materials that are easy to recycle. The paper contains 30% recycled pulp and has obtained eco-label certification, and soybean oil ink, which has low environmental pollutants and is easily biodegradable, was used.

A representative of Saenghwal Gongjakso said, "From the perspective of a small and medium-sized enterprise, using eco-friendly materials increases costs, but we launched this product to provide consumers with an easy way to participate in environmental protection through product use." He added, "We plan to actively practice ESG management by continuing to develop eco-friendly products and minimizing environmental impact."
