[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) is seeing results from its capacity-building programs designed to support the growth of emerging content companies.
According to Incheon TP on the 4th, it operated three programs last year for companies based at the Incheon Content Enterprise Support Center (Bupyeong-gu, Incheon): Boom-Up Funding (investment and collaboration linkage), Boom-Up Class (education), and Boom-Up Toktok (mentoring).
Through these programs, 12 companies were given opportunities for IR (Investor Relations) presentations, leading to a total investment attraction of 520 million KRW last year. Additionally, investments worth approximately 1.53 billion KRW are in the final stages, indicating that the total amount is expected to increase.
Furthermore, achievements include companies being selected for TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup), business collaborations and agreements (4 cases), and awards in contests and startup competitions (3 times).
A total of 24 training sessions covering commercialization, investment attraction, production practices, and document preparation were attended by 117 company executives and employees to enhance their practical skills. Mentoring services, connecting companies with experts from various fields to resolve challenges, were conducted 94 times.
Currently, 33 companies are housed at the Incheon Content Enterprise Support Center, employing approximately 240 executives and staff.
An Incheon TP official stated, "We operate growth support programs specialized for content companies in collaboration with related organizations," adding, "We will remain dedicated to serving as a one-stop nurturing platform to support the growth of emerging content companies."
