"Yeonghonam Lifelong Education Joined Hands" ... [Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Universities from the East and West, and from Yeongnam and Honam regions, have joined hands for university development.


Dong-Eui Science University and Mokpo Science University signed an agreement on the 30th to establish a mutual cooperation system between universities in the field of lifelong education.


The two universities will promote the successful implementation of the "University Lifelong Education System Support Project (LiFE)" through the establishment and cooperation of a lifelong education cooperation system among vocational colleges.


The main points of the agreement focus on mutual cooperation between universities in the field of lifelong education, including ▲promotion and activation of the lifelong education system support project at universities ▲training of professionals and personnel exchange between project teams ▲cooperation in academic information, publications, and facility management and operation.


Attending the signing ceremony were Dong-Eui Science University President Kim Young-do, Director Kim Tae-kyung of the Future Lifelong Education Project Team, Director Im Dong-hyun of the Adult Learning Support Center, Mokpo Science University President Lee Ho-gyun, and Director Myung Geun-hong of the Adult Learning Support Center.


President Kim Young-do said, “Based on the accumulated know-how and expertise in operating lifelong education programs at each university, we will cooperate to develop vocational education in various fields including lifelong education.”


The University Lifelong Education System Support Project, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Lifelong Education, is a project that supports universities in autonomously establishing a lifelong education system that is friendly to adult learners.


Both universities were newly selected for the LiFE project in 2019 and are operating specialized associate degree programs targeting adult learners.
