[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Lotte Hi-Mart announced on the 4th that it will hold the 'Mom Comfortable Hi-Dream' event throughout January, receiving stories from children supporting their mothers and gifting home appliances.
Lotte Hi-Mart selects support recipients by collecting stories based on a theme every two months. This month, participants can enter by writing a story titled 'A mother expressing gratitude to her own mother, the grandmother.' Entries can be submitted through the 'Lotte Relay Project' section under 'Participation' on the company's social contribution website, and three families will be selected after screening.
Mom Comfortable Hi-Dream is a project combining Lotte Group's social contribution brand 'mom편한' (Mom Comfortable), which means 'creating a world where a mother's heart is at ease,' and Lotte Hi-Mart's social contribution brand 'Hi-Dream,' which signifies 'dreaming high and greeting one's own dreams.' Since 2018, funded by donations voluntarily collected by Lotte Hi-Mart employees, it has supported 50 families and 90 mothers and children with home appliances.
Shin Jae-yeol, Head of External Cooperation at Lotte Hi-Mart, said, "We have been steadily carrying out this project with the hope of helping mothers who juggle work and housework to dream higher without limitations," adding, "We will continue to engage in sharing activities that provide practical help to neighbors in the local community."
