Orion Launches 'Kkobuk Chip Sweet Vanilla Flavor'

Kkobuk Chip Sweet Vanilla Flavor features a richer texture by increasing the gap between the layers of Kkobuk Chip by about 30% compared to the corn soup flavor, and the weight per chip is also increased by approximately 60%, adding cookie toppings as well.

Orion explained that the development of Kkobuk Chip Sweet Vanilla Flavor was inspired by the idea of applying the vanilla flavor, which is mainly enjoyed in ice cream, to snacks. Vanilla is a flavor loved by people of all ages and is a popular ingredient in desserts such as ice cream and cakes. However, vanilla cream, due to its raw material characteristics, hardens more easily than chocolate, making it difficult to implement in snack products until now.

The Orion Global Research Institute's snack development team and chocolate development team, who created 'Kkobuk Chip Choco Churros Flavor,' collaborated for over a year and succeeded in developing a rapid cooling technology that evenly applies vanilla cream to Kkobuk Chip.

Kkobuk Chip is a four-layer snack first introduced to the domestic confectionery market in March 2017. It has established itself as a national snack with a unique and differentiated texture that feels like eating 2 to 3 single-layer snacks at once. In particular, the 'Kkobuk Chip Choco Churros Flavor,' released in September 2020, became a top hit product, causing a sell-out frenzy immediately after its launch.
