[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shin Heung-sik, Acting President of Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO), said on the 3rd, "KAMCO will take the lead in creating the results expected by the public and the government, thereby establishing itself as a genuine 'leading platform'."

In his New Year's address on the same day, Acting President Shin stated, "The year 2022 must be made a year of 'overcoming the crisis, regaining daily life and the economy, and leaping toward a leading economy.'"

Acting President Shin emphasized, "If we laid the foundation for achieving our vision by enhancing the value of national assets through innovative public development, this year we must play a greater role in making it the first year for our society to return to normal life."

To this end, he said, "We will strengthen crisis response capabilities in preparation for the expiration of debt maturity extensions and repayment deferrals, and during the economic recovery process, we will support structural improvements, reinforce support programs for companies in rehabilitation, and provide seamless support for business restructuring companies." He added, "In particular, we will lead innovative projects in public development such as discovering projects involving private sector participation and collaboration with local governments, and devote our capabilities to advancing national property management, including discovering sites for hydrogen charging stations and introducing next-generation national property management systems."

Acting President Shin urged employees, "This year marks the meaningful 60th anniversary of KAMCO's founding, so it is time to once again recall the importance of fundamentals to leap forward as a 100-year company." He encouraged, "As a trusted public institution, let us continuously seek innovation and development while creating an organization where we can work enthusiastically."
