Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to Launch in 5 Variants

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Samsung Electronics' next-generation flagship smartphone series, the 'Galaxy S22,' expected to be released in February next year, is anticipated to launch in a total of five colors.

On the 1st, IT specialized media LetsGoDigital revealed five color rendering images of the top-tier model of the S22 series, the Ultra (Note).

According to LetsGoDigital, Samsung Electronics is expected to release five standard colors: ▲Black ▲White ▲Green ▲Burgundy Red ▲Rose, and later introduce exclusive colors sold only on its official website. The exclusive colors are expected to be ▲Phantom Titanium ▲Phantom Navy (Dark Blue) ▲Phantom Brown (Dark Brown).

The overall design of the S22 Ultra resembles the 'Galaxy Note20 Ultra.' Compared to its predecessor, the corners have become sharper. The bezel area at the bottom is arranged in a wide form similar to the Note20 Ultra.

Meanwhile, the S22 series is expected to be unveiled at a global unpacked event in February next year. The application processor (AP) is projected to be Qualcomm's latest 'Snapdragon 8 Gen 1' or Samsung's 'Exynos 2200,' depending on the release region.

According to some foreign media, the S22 Ultra is expected to add a 1-terabyte (TB) storage option. Previously, Samsung Electronics released the 'Galaxy S10 Plus (+)' model in 2019 with 12GB RAM and a 1TB model, but since then, 512GB has been the maximum capacity. The previous 'Galaxy S21' series also had a maximum storage capacity of 512GB.

The S22 Ultra is expected to be offered in ▲12GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage models, and ▲16GB RAM with 512GB or 1TB models. The base S22 and Plus models are expected to launch with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage models.
