On the same day, Yoon appeared on MBC Radio's Kim Jong-bae's Focus program in the morning and said, "It seems that consultations with China are at a certain stage, but North Korea does not seem to be responding properly." Yoon, who served as the head of the State Affairs Situation Room in the early Moon Jae-in administration and is known as President Moon's 'trusted aide,' drew attention by commenting on the push for the declaration of the end of the war.

Yoon emphasized, "It is true that it is realistically difficult, but I believe we must not miss the declaration of the end of the war until the last days of the Moon Jae-in administration."

Referring to the previous day's press conference remarks by Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong, when asked, "Can we interpret that neither Kim Jong-un, the General Secretary of the Workers' Party of North Korea, nor President Moon will attend the Beijing Winter Olympics?" Yoon said, "Rather than a definitive interpretation, isn't the US-China relationship severely deteriorated?" and added, "Because of that, the efforts to promote peace with major countries surrounding the Korean Peninsula through the Beijing Olympics have fundamentally started to go awry."

He added, "It seems to be a comment on such circumstances."
