Gwangju Dong-gu, Recruiting 'Honbap Restaurants' for Single-Person Households

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Dong-gu, Gwangju (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 20th that it is recruiting 'Dong-gu Honbap Restaurants' to support the dietary life of single-person households.


'Honbap Restaurants' refer to restaurants that provide a good environment for dining alone, offering healthy home-cooked meal menus such as homemade set meals, and any restaurant located in Dong-gu with tables and seats for one or two people can apply.


The application period is until the 24th, and detailed information such as how to apply and required documents can be found on the Dong-gu Office website and the Dong-gu Public Health Center website under 'Notices.'


Once designated as a 'Dong-gu Honbap Restaurant,' various incentives will be provided, including the attachment of a designation sticker, promotion through the Dong-gu Office website and SNS, provision of table setting cards and utensil holders, automatic toothpick dispensers, and installation of partitions.


Im Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, said, "Dong-gu has a single-person household ratio accounting for about half of the total population, with a high proportion of honbap (eating alone) and delivery food," adding, "We will discover and promote various policies for single-person households, including support for healthy dietary life."
