At the Korea Local Autonomy Administration Awards hosted by JJC Local Autonomy TV, Muju County was highly evaluated for contributing to revitalizing the local economy through issuing and distributing Muju Love Gift Certificates, supporting online marketing for small business owners, stabilizing agricultural product prices, and promoting job projects. It also led tourism activation by signing a large-scale investment agreement with Muju Deogyusan Resort to improve aging facilities.
In addition, Muju received favorable reviews for enhancing residents' quality of life by providing customized welfare services for each class and promoting health, enacting and promulgating an ordinance on agricultural product price stabilization support, and establishing a new distribution system by creating a related fund of 10 billion won.
Furthermore, efforts to maintain the reputation of the hometown of Taekwondo and an eco-friendly clean county where fireflies live and breathe, such as promoting the establishment of an international Taekwondo academy and hosting the Mountain Village Film Festival and Firefly Festival, as well as continuous communication administration with residents through an open county office to realize "Making Muju truly Muju and making residents happy," also attracted attention.
Hwang In-hong, the head of Muju County, said, "Smooth communication and cooperation with residents have been the driving force that enhanced Muju's competitiveness and made the region stand out.
