[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Mercedes-Benz Korea announced that it will begin delivering the luxury electric sedan 'The new EQS' to domestic customers starting from the 20th.
First introduced domestically at this year's Seoul Mobility Show, The new EQS features innovative technologies such as a self-developed electric vehicle dedicated modular architecture and the next-generation artificial intelligence infotainment system ‘MBUX Hyperscreen’.
The new EQS helps keep the energy management system up to date through a next-generation battery with significantly improved energy density and an innovative battery management software developed in-house that supports OTA (over the air) wireless updates.
Additionally, it includes Mercedes-Benz’s advanced driving assistance system Driving Assistance Package Plus, rear axle steering with a steering angle of 4.5 degrees, and top-level safety and convenience features such as Energizing Air Control Plus with a large HEPA filter.
To commemorate the domestic launch of The new EQS, the ‘The new EQS 450+ AMG Line Launch Edition’ is equipped with the MBUX high-end rear-seat entertainment system Plus, consisting of two 11.6-inch full HD touchscreens and a 7-inch tablet.
