Gwangju Buk-gu Holds Performance Report Meeting for '4th Industrial Convergence Mini Cluster'


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] On the 20th, Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced that it held the ‘Gwangju Buk-gu 4th Industrial Convergence Mini Cluster Performance Report Meeting’ at the Gwangju Technopark Smart Convergence Technology Center.


This event, hosted by Gwangju Technopark, was held to find ways to activate and develop the 4th industry and to share the achievements of the year.


The convergence mini cluster showcased 4 joint convergence project tasks and 25 commercialization achievements this year.


The main contents included ▲development of an intelligent smart healthcare platform ▲development of Korean medicine acupuncture point content based on a human body model using IoT and augmented reality technology, among four joint project tasks.


Additionally, it supported the commercialization of 25 items such as ▲AI non-face-to-face smart mirror home training ▲smart helmet (XR) ▲edge-type AI smart plug ▲RRFS (pedestrian safety warning light).


Buk-gu has been operating the ‘Buk-gu 4th Industrial Convergence Mini Cluster’ since 2019 to revitalize 4th industry sectors such as AI (artificial intelligence), AR/VR (augmented/virtual reality), and drones.


In particular, through the Economic Comprehensive Support Center, which was opened as the first pledge of the 7th local government, it supports projects such as ‘Industrial Complex Overhaul,’ ‘Artificial Intelligence Cluster,’ and ‘Startup Growth Support Center,’ and is also preparing to implement various policies such as ‘Post Office Shopping Mall Entry’ and ‘Startup Support Service Voucher Project.’


Director Moon In said, “The achievements made this year by 46 member companies and advisory groups will be the foundation for the development of the 4th industry in Buk-gu,” and added, “We will actively support the mini cluster that fuses ideas and creativity from industry, academia, research, and government to lead the 4th industrial era and the future.”
