Damyang-gun Honored with 'Excellence Award' for Three Consecutive Years in Jeollanam-do Investment Attraction Competition

[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang County has been honored with the Excellence Award for three consecutive years in the 2021 Jeollanam-do Investment Attraction Evaluation.

According to the county on the 20th, this Jeollanam-do Investment Attraction Award evaluated the performance over one year in 10 categories, including pure investment attraction achievements and environment creation, targeting 22 cities and counties within the province.

Damyang County, which won the Excellence Award for the third consecutive year this year, signed investment agreements with 18 companies amounting to 41.2 billion KRW and 170 jobs, and led the realization of investments from 31 companies, earning recognition for its investment attraction achievements and winning the Excellence Award among the 22 cities and counties in Jeonnam.

County Governor Choi Hyungsik said, “It is an honor to achieve good results despite the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic causing investment contraction and difficult local economic conditions,” and added, “We will continue to actively strive to establish a foundation where companies and the local economy can grow together through investment attraction that aligns with Damyang’s ecological city policy.”
