Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 20th that it is conducting a pilot operation of the ‘Integrated QR Code Move-in Quality Management System for Immediate Processing,’ which allows defect reporting and handling via QR codes for each household from completion to move-in.

This system is an improvement of the ‘QR Code Move-in Quality Management System’ introduced last year. The QR code reception method, which was previously used only for pre-move-in visits by residents, has been expanded to cover from completion through post-move-in, and the defect reporting method has been changed from ‘case-by-case QR code reception’ to ‘household-integrated QR code reception.’

In particular, LH plans to use the improved defect handling process through the ‘household-integrated QR code’ not only to enhance convenience for residents but also to increase defect processing speed through more systematic history management and to improve housing quality by preventing defect occurrences.

By analyzing statistics accumulated from the time of completion, rapid repairs for major defects can be carried out, and as soon as the QR code is entered, the party responsible for defect repair is designated, enabling management of the processing status and speeding up the handling process. Additionally, LH regional headquarters utilize the ‘QR Code Online Dashboard’ to provide real-time information on defect repair rates to construction companies and supervisors.

LH aims to use the big data accumulated in the ‘Integrated QR Code Move-in Quality Management System’ to reflect improvements in design and enhance housing quality. The issues identified during this pilot operation will be addressed, and the system will be applied to the construction process of LH public housing starting next year.

Ha Seung-ho, head of LH’s Housing Welfare Headquarters, said, "In the COVID-19 situation, the ‘Integrated QR Code Move-in Quality Management System for Immediate Processing’ allows customers to easily report defects non-face-to-face, and LH can manage defects more systematically." He added, "We will make further efforts to improve housing quality, including defect prevention."
