On the 17th at around 11:45 PM, A caused a four-vehicle collision at an intersection in Songjeong-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, by driving under the influence and hitting a vehicle waiting at a traffic signal.
He then tried to escape but failed due to the structure of the multi-level intersection.
At the time, A's blood alcohol concentration was reported to be at the level warranting license cancellation.
