"Half Chicken for One" GS25 Launches Single-Serving 'The Bigger Half Chicken' GS25, 'The Bigger Half Chicken'.


[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Convenience stores will offer 'Half Chicken' portions perfect for single servings.


GS25, a convenience store operated by GS Retail, announced on the 20th that it will launch 'The Bigger Half Chicken' through both online and offline channels starting on the 24th. GS25 stated, "Based on surveys and customer feedback aimed at providing better products, there was a strong demand for half chicken portions suitable for one person," adding, "To satisfy both reasonable quantity and price, we are introducing The Bigger Half Chicken."


The Bigger Half Chicken uses domestic chickens sized 11 to 12, which are larger than the 9 to 10 size chickens typically used by existing chicken specialty franchises. It consists of a total of 7 pieces, including one drumstick and one wing each.


GS25 expects The Bigger Half Chicken to receive great responses from customers who enjoy 'chimaek' alone at home. It is also anticipated to serve as a catalyst for boosting GS25's delivery sales.


Meanwhile, to commemorate the launch of The Bigger Half Chicken, GS25 will hold a promotion until the end of December where customers purchasing the product at offline stores will receive a can of Pepsi Cola. In January next year, they plan to conduct a major New Year's promotional event to attract customer attention.


Additionally, GS25 revealed that the most ordered products through its own delivery app 'Udeal-Order' this year were Thonsal Chicken, Thonsal Chicken (Spicy), Choco Home Run Ball, Pepsi Cola 600ml, and Gatorade Lemon 1.5L. The overall sales composition by category was 28.1% chicken, 22.5% beverages, and 18.2% snacks, respectively.
