Netflix 'Hellbound' Exhibition Event in Daejeon

[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] An exhibition event related to the Netflix series "Hellbound" will be held in Daejeon.

The Daejeon City government announced on the 20th that from the 20th until February 13 of next year, an exhibition event where visitors can experience content related to "Hellbound" will be held at Daejeon Expo Citizen's Square.

Previously, "Hellbound" filmed key scenes over five months at locations including the indoor studio (Visual Effects Town) of the Daejeon Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency. The exhibition event was arranged based on this, through cooperation between the city and Netflix.

As part of the exhibition event, the city will lease three Hellbound messenger figures (2.7 meters tall) and a bust of the New Truth Society chairman (1.8 meters tall) free of charge to create an experience zone, which will be open to the public.

The event venue, Expo Citizen's Square, is adjacent to the Government Complex Daejeon, Hanbat Arboretum, Hanbit Tower, an outdoor skating rink, and apartment complexes, offering excellent accessibility. Nearby is Shinsegae Art & Science, making it easy to attract visitors during Christmas and Lunar New Year, the city expects.

Various events linked to the exhibition will also be held.

Netflix successfully held a "Hellbound" related content experience exhibition at COEX in Seoul until the 15th.

Son Cheol-woong, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the city, said, "The experience zone exhibition will provide citizens with a special opportunity to engage, taking advantage of the fact that key scenes of the Netflix series 'Hellbound' were filmed in Daejeon." He added, "The city plans to continue discovering and promoting events where citizens can experience and enjoy various K-content filmed in Daejeon."
