Happy Business School Announces Selection of Outstanding Companies in 'Happy Management'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Despite the prolonged management difficulties caused by COVID-19, small and strong companies that increase investment in employees while boosting sales are gaining attention. Their commonality is practicing 'Happy Management,' a management approach that prioritizes employee happiness above all.
On the 18th, education specialist company Hunet announced the winners of the ‘Happy Management Awards,’ discovering excellent cases among alumni companies of its Happy Management University. These companies recorded sales growth of up to four times after introducing happy management systems.
The grand prize winner, cosmetics specialist company ‘CMS LABS,’ led by CEO Lee Jinsu, introduced various happy management systems after completing the first course in 2016. Representative programs include ▲support for overseas backpacking trips ▲Family Day celebration system ▲support for family vacation facilities ▲breakfast, snacks, and exercise facility support. Since introducing the happy management system, the company’s sales have quadrupled and operating profit has increased more than fivefold over five years.
CEO Lee Jinsu stated, "After completing the course, I decided to make ‘employee satisfaction’ the top management goal," adding, "Employees worked with joy, which made me happy as the CEO, and I believe that the employees’ happy motivation led to the company’s growth."
The excellence award winner, LGU+ corporate agency ‘Active IT,’ led by CEO Ryu Suseok, operates ▲bucket list support system ▲birthday celebration system ▲housing loan support ▲performance sharing system. After introducing happy management, sales tripled and operating profit more than doubled over four years. Especially, the company is recognized as an excellent management company due to its higher employee retention rate compared to peers. It continues its growth trend, winning the best agency award for five consecutive years.
Co-excellence award winner, HR specialist company ‘Makein,’ led by CEO Choi Hyunkwon, implements ▲sabbatical leave system ▲family allowance system ▲birthday happy leave system ▲profit sharing system ▲support system for lump-sum savings. They are currently preparing to introduce a 4.5-day workweek. Since adopting happy management, over the past three years, sales, operating profit, and employee numbers have all grown more than fourfold, leading to job creation.
In addition to the above three companies, Ire Industry, Sangdo Furniture, Hanpure, and Kotech System were selected for the Happy Management Award excellence prize.
