Jeonnam Province, Comprehensive Review of 'Jobs, Economy, and Investment Attraction' Achievements This Year

[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province has summarized the achievements in job creation, economy, and investment attraction for this year.


The province announced on the 16th that it held the ‘2021 Jeollanam-do Job, Economy, and Investment Attraction Festival’ at the Wangin Room of the provincial office.


About 50 people attended the event, including Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeonnam Province; Kim Seong-il, Vice Chairman of Jeonnam Provincial Council; Kang In-gyu, Mayor of Naju City; Jeong Jong-sun, County Governor of Jangheung; Lee Seung-ok, County Governor of Gangjin; Jeon Dong-pyeong, County Governor of Yeongam; representatives of excellent companies; and meritorious persons in job creation, economy, and investment attraction.


The event was held as an opportunity to share best practices.


Certificates were awarded to excellent companies that worked hard to create quality local jobs, and commendations were given to outstanding cities and counties and contributors in the fields of job creation, economy, and investment attraction.


Twenty companies in the province received certificates as excellent job-creating companies. They are Human Tech Co., Ltd., Human IT Solution Co., Ltd., Cheonsa Food Co., Ltd., SM Co., Ltd., Taehwa Industry Co., Ltd., SRENG Co., Ltd., Suncheonman Nurungji Co., Ltd., Total Industry Co., Ltd., LCS Co., Ltd., CM Tech Co., Ltd., PMS Co., Ltd., Fine Co., Ltd., Farm & D Cooperative, Moa Food Co., Ltd., Daewon Food Co., Ltd., Haenam Sweet Potato Food Co., Ltd., Bosam Bio Industry Co., Ltd., Honeybee Co., Ltd., For Me’s Co., Ltd., and Can Plant Co., Ltd.


The excellent cities and counties for job creation included Gwangyang City, which was honored with the grand prize for contributing to job creation by establishing a job cooperation system in line with changes in the industrial structure.


The highest awards went to Naju City and Yeongam County; excellence awards to Jangheung County and Muan County; and encouragement awards to Gangjin County and Jangseong County.


In the local economy sector, Gangjin County won the grand prize for strengthening the self-sustainability of small business owners by creating themed specialized streets.


The highest awards were given to Haenam County and Yeonggwang County; excellence awards to Mokpo City and Yeosu City; and effort awards to Muan County and Hampyeong County.


For investment attraction, Mokpo City and Jangheung County received the highest awards for their active investment agreements and creation of investment conditions leading to high attraction performance.


Excellence awards went to Gwangyang City, Damyang County, and Jindo County; encouragement awards to Naju City and Yeosu City.


Additionally, 27 private individuals, including Kim Du-cheol, Senior Researcher at the Jeonnam Human Resources Development Committee, were commended for their contributions to job creation and investment attraction.


Governor Kim Young-rok said, “We will continue to communicate with cities, counties, companies, and residents to create ‘Jeonnam, a good place for business and work.’ We will further research and refine Jeonnam’s policies on job creation, economy, and investment attraction so that they become a nationwide model on the path of innovation and growth.”
