The 13th Korea KOSDAQ Awards Held... Grand Prize Goes to 'Tes'

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] TES, a semiconductor front-end equipment company, has won the 13th Korea KOSDAQ Awards.


The KOSDAQ Association held the 13th Korea KOSDAQ Awards ceremony on the 16th at the 63 Building in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, announcing this award news.


Since its inception in 2004, the Korea KOSDAQ Awards are selected through quantitative evaluations on management performance, transparent management, marketing, technological capability, 4th industrial innovation, job creation, etc., qualitative evaluations including CEO interviews through corporate due diligence, and final deliberation by a selection committee composed of external experts.


This year, the Korea KOSDAQ Award, which is the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award, was awarded to TES. TES is a specialized company producing front-end equipment necessary for semiconductor manufacturing and has secured core technology, being designated as an 'Excellent Manufacturing Technology Research Center (ATC)' by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy in 2010.


The Financial Supervisory Service Chairman’s Award for Best Transparent Management was given to PSK. Genoray and Huons received the Best Management Award, APTC received the Best 4th Industrial Innovation Company Award, and Mirae Asset Securities received the Best Lead Underwriter Award. All these categories are awarded by the Chairman of the Korea Exchange.


The KOSDAQ Association Chairman’s Award for Best Marketing Company went to Brand X Corporation, Best Techno Companies to Device ENG and Comico, Best Job Creation Company to HK Innoen, the newly established Best ESG Company Award to KoYoung Technology, Best Next-Generation Company Award to T&L, and the Merit Award to Professor Kyeseop Yoon, Honorary Professor at Seoul National University.


Awarded companies receive benefits such as exemption from additional listing fees and change of listing fees at the Korea Exchange for one year, and free participation in KOSDAQ Association training programs.


Meanwhile, the ceremony was attended by Lee Hak-young, Chairman of the National Assembly Industry, Trade, Energy, SMEs and Startups Committee; Kim Byung-wook, Democratic Party Whip of the National Assembly Political Affairs Committee; Kim Dong-hoe, Deputy Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service; Sohn Byung-doo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange; Cha Jung-hoon, Director of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups; and Kim Young-sik, Chairman of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants.


Jang Kyung-ho, Chairman of the KOSDAQ Association, stated, "We will continue to discover excellent KOSDAQ companies and strive to enhance investors’ trust and the KOSDAQ brand value."
