5 Years of Research and Development, Commercialization Funding, and Various Support

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Twenty companies, including Lake Materials Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of ultra-high purity trimethylaluminum (TMA) and organometallic compounds, have been selected as promising companies in this year's 'Materials, Parts, and Equipment Strong Small and Medium Enterprises 100+'.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 15th that it held the 2021 'Materials, Parts, and Equipment Strong SMEs 100+' selection ceremony at COEX in Seoul, with companies and related organizations participating.
The Materials, Parts, and Equipment Strong SMEs 100+ project is a program to select and foster promising companies in materials, parts, and equipment to proactively respond to changes in the global value chain beyond domestic localization. Last month, 20 companies were newly selected, overcoming a high competition rate of 12 to 1.
The selected strong SMEs in materials, parts, and equipment this time include 8 companies in semiconductors, 4 in electrical and electronics, 3 in environment and energy, 2 in basic chemicals, 1 in machinery and metals, 1 in automobiles, and 1 in bio.

(8 companies in semiconductors) ▲Selcos Co., Ltd. ▲CNT Solution Co., Ltd. ▲Eldis Co., Ltd. ▲GI Tech Co., Ltd. (4 companies in electrical and electronics) ▲Bumhan Fuel Cell Co., Ltd. ▲KP Tech Co., Ltd. ▲Corens RTX Co., Ltd. (3 companies in environment and energy) ▲Sale Hightech Co., Ltd. ▲EPCAMTEC Co., Ltd. (2 companies in basic chemicals) ▲Jinyoung TVX Co., Ltd. (machinery and metals) ▲Taerim Industry Co., Ltd. (automobiles) ▲Macrocare Co., Ltd. (bio).
The selected strong SMEs in materials, parts, and equipment will receive support for rapid technological innovation and commercialization through various SME support programs such as research and development (R&D) and commercialization funds over five years.
Cha Jung-hoon, Director of the Startup Venture Innovation Office at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, "We ask for your continued efforts for the development of the materials, parts, and equipment industry, which is the foundation of our economy," adding, "The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will actively support you to be a strong backing."
