[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Korea FPSB announced on the 14th that a total of 844 candidates passed the 80th Financial Planner (AFPK) exam. The pass rate was 34.8%.
The oldest successful candidate, Park Yang-won, said, “I started as an insurance planner in my second life with the idea of selling insurance products after turning 60,” and emphasized, “I realized that corporate clients require professional financial consulting during the process of meeting and selling products to them.”
Park added, “I thought about developing expertise to directly provide corporate consulting, and took the AFPK exam, which is the preliminary step to the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) exam.”
The youngest successful candidate is Lee Ha-eun, a second-year student at Kangho Aviation High School. Lee said, “I understand that many private financial companies as well as various institutions give preference to certificate holders,” and “I challenged the AFPK certification to get a job at a financial public enterprise.”
Meanwhile, the top scorer in the general category is Park Geon-wan (28), who is attending graduate school at Yonsei University. The top scorer in the university student category is Park So-young (Soongsil University, 24).
The financial company that produced the most successful candidates is Shinhan Financial Investment, with a total of 211 passers.
