Large-scale residential complex plan including 22 buildings of 20 floors above ground and a park in Jeonnong-dong 204 area... Consent rate over 78%
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) announced on December 8 that it has approved the establishment of the Jeonnong 8 District Housing Redevelopment Maintenance Project Association (Chairman Jo Wan-woo) for the area around 204 Jeonnong-dong in the Jeonnong-Dapsimni Redevelopment Promotion Zone.
The project area covers approximately 93,967㎡ around 204 Jeonnong-dong, where a large-scale residential complex consisting of 22 apartment buildings with 20 floors above ground and 2 basement levels, totaling 1,515 units (262 rental units and 1,253 general units), as well as parks and public office buildings, will be constructed.
The area around 204 Jeonnong-dong is included in the Jeonnong-Dapsimni Redevelopment Promotion Zone. Although the association establishment promotion committee was approved in 2005, the project was delayed due to various issues, resulting in the aging of facilities.
Accordingly, residents' willingness to participate in the development project increased, and on October 30, 2021, a founding general meeting was held to elect the chairman, executives, and delegates, finalize the articles of association, and complete preparations for the association establishment approval. The approval was finally granted with a high consent rate of 78% for the association establishment.
The Jeonnong 8 District Housing Redevelopment Maintenance Project Association plans to promptly proceed with procedures to obtain changes to the redevelopment promotion plan, architectural review, and project implementation approval.
The district office plans to support all aspects related to the redevelopment project to ensure smooth progress and focus on operating the project transparently and reliably.
Yoo Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “With the establishment of the Jeonnong 8 District Housing Redevelopment Maintenance Project Association, redevelopment around 204 Jeonnong-dong will be actively promoted, which is expected to contribute to regional revitalization. We will do our best to support the creation of a safe and happy residential area for residents in the 204 Jeonnong-dong area.”
