KoAsia Participates in DAC 2021, the Largest U.S. System Semiconductor Conference

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] CoAsia, a system semiconductor design solution specialist company, announced on the 13th that its U.S. local subsidiary CoA Silicon participated in the global largest system semiconductor design solution conference, ‘DAC (Design Automation Conference) 2021’.

Held from the 5th to the 9th (local time) in San Francisco, USA, 'DAC 2021' is the largest event in the field of system semiconductor design. This year’s event was attended by global companies including Samsung Electronics DS Division’s Americas headquarters DSA (Device Solutions America), Google, NVIDIA, Amazon (AWS), Microsoft (MS), as well as major EDA (Electronic Design Automation) companies such as Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens. They had in-depth technical trend discussions and networking opportunities on topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Automotive Semiconductors (Automotive AP).

CoAsia was the only official Samsung Foundry DSP (Design Solution Partner) in Korea to participate in ‘DAC 2021’. Through the event, it showcased its custom SoC technology for automotive semiconductors and tailored turnkey solution services, seeking opportunities to strengthen partnerships and technical cooperation with global companies.

A company representative said, "It was a meaningful occasion to participate in the 'DAC 2021' event alongside Samsung Electronics DS Division’s Americas headquarters DSA and build various partnerships with global customers."

He added, "This aligns with the management strategy to expand Samsung Foundry’s investment in the U.S. We will strengthen CoA Silicon’s activities in the U.S. and cooperation with global system semiconductor companies to achieve significant results."

Meanwhile, CoAsia’s system semiconductor business division recorded cumulative sales of 12.2 billion KRW in the third quarter of this year, growing more than 164% compared to last year.

CoAsia stated, "As expectations for various order contracts continue, the system semiconductor business division’s scale growth and profitability improvement will be achieved more significantly starting next year."
