Selected as an Excellent Case in the '2021 ICT Patent Management Awards'

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korean Intellectual Property Office announced on the morning of the 10th that they held the '2021 ICT Patent Management Awards Ceremony' at the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Industry Promotion Association's main conference room.

The Ministry of Science and ICT, the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and the National Intellectual Property Committee received candidate applications from September through the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Industry Promotion Association. They selected 30 outstanding cases, including 13 individuals and 17 companies.

PAMCAD (organization category) and Juyoun Lee, Manager at Hyosung (individual category), received the Chairman's Commendation from the Intellectual Property Committee. Thinkware (organization category), Golfzon (organization category), Seongpil Jeon, Team Leader at Hanwha Techwin (individual category), and Seungwook Choi, CEO of Narae Trend (individual category) were awarded the Minister of Science and ICT Commendation.

Raon People (organization category), Intin (organization category), TSC (organization category), Yunhee Yang, Team Leader at SEMES (individual category), Kyochan Chu, Technical Director at Energy11 (individual category), and Changwoo Ban, Head of Quantum Sensing Research Institute (individual category) received the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office Commendation.

Jaemyung Ryu, Director of Information and Communication Industry Policy at the Ministry of Science and ICT, stated, “Our government will do its best to help Korea leap forward as a strong intellectual property nation by supporting the creation of excellent patents by small and medium-sized enterprises in the information and communication sector, enhancing their capabilities to respond to patent royalty litigation, and spreading awareness of the importance of patent management.”
