[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) is partnering with T'way Air to cultivate specialized talent in the field of airline services.
According to Gwangju University on the 9th, the Department of Airline Service recently signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with T'way Air for technology exchange in the aviation sector and the selection and training of human resources.
The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Mi-jung, head of the Department of Airline Service at Gwangju University, and Shim Chang-seop, Executive Director of Management Support at T'way Air, along with officials from each institution. They agreed to seek mutual development plans through support for on-site training, efficient project execution, and the formation of consultative bodies.
They also committed to fostering practical talent by exchanging information through facility tours and guest lectures by practitioners, as well as providing flight attendant experience programs.
Kim Mi-jung, head of the department, said, "This industry-academia cooperation will greatly help strengthen expertise in education and research, as well as students' career planning and major competencies. We will do our best to improve practical skills required in the field."
Meanwhile, the Department of Airline Service at Gwangju University operates experiential education and on-site training programs annually in cooperation with domestic and international airlines. In particular, it is leading the way in cultivating specialized talent in the airline service field through differentiated curricula.
