[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province will open the Naepo Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex access road within this month.
According to the province on the 9th, this road is a newly constructed 3.97 km road connecting Daedong-ri in Hongbuk-eup and Daegyo-ri in Hongseong-eup, and is scheduled to open on the 15th.
Originally, the province planned to complete this road in February next year, but the schedule was advanced by three months to finish the construction. The Naepo Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex access road is a four-lane road with six intersections and two bridges installed.
With the opening of the road, the province expects that traffic between Naepo and Hongseong-eup will be dispersed, alleviating inconvenience for local residents. Using this road will reduce travel time from the Naepo Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex to Hongseong Station from about 15 minutes to about 5 minutes.
Additionally, it is expected that the function of the Naepo Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex will be enhanced by connecting to the Seohae Line double-track railway and Janghang Line railway, which will open in 2023.
Above all, the province expects that the opening of the Naepo Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex access road will reduce logistics costs for the complex and create synergy effects for private investment and revitalization of the local economy.
Meanwhile, Naepo New City has completed 767㎡ out of a total development project area of 9.95 million ㎡, with a site formation progress rate of 97%.
