Gwangju Shinsegae Hosts Christmas 'Gift Special' Live Broadcast

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Gwangju Shinsegae (CEO Lee Dong-hoon) announced on the 8th that it will hold a Christmas gift special relay live broadcast for one day only on the 10th through the Shinsegae app.


This was promoted in consideration of the fact that people have become more accustomed to non-face-to-face interactions rather than face-to-face due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.


From the 3rd to the 5th of last month, the winter outerwear category showed sales performance 120% higher than the target through live broadcasts with discounts of up to 60%.


The upcoming live broadcast will sell a total of about 50 items in women's, children's, and outdoor categories at discounts of up to 60%.


At 7 PM, a peak access time, a year-end date look & gift theme will showcase about 30 items including Rosemont, On&On, Sisley, and CC Collect.


Then, at 8:30 PM, a children's gift theme will present about 20 items including Bean, Bluetail, Bluedog, and Nepa Kids.


To enhance the quality of the live broadcast, a professional host will conduct the program directly.


Customers who participate in the broadcast and make purchases will receive Starbucks cards, given to 5 people per brand.


A Gwangju Shinsegae official said, "Due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, not only the MZ generation but also older generations are increasingly interested in non-face-to-face shopping," adding, "Considering this, we prepared the Christmas gift special."
