Utilizing QR Codes for Civil Petition Form Submission to Reduce Waiting Time
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Damyang-gun announced on the 8th that it will utilize QR codes to help civil petitioners who visit the county office and eup/myeon offices to obtain certificates or report administrative tasks easily fill out civil petition forms.
Until now, it has been difficult for multiple people to view sample forms at once when filling out civil petition documents, and most samples were only attached at the bottom of the writing desk, causing inconvenience as those waiting had to wait if someone was filling out a form.
In particular, civil petition forms that are not frequently used, such as birth/death reports and marriage/divorce reports, were difficult to fill out, causing significant inconvenience to residents.
Accordingly, the county created QR codes that directly link to sample images of civil petition forms so that various age groups can easily use them, and attached them in the civil petition offices of the county office and 12 eup/myeon offices.
By scanning the attached QR codes with a smartphone, users can immediately check sample forms and required documents for civil petitions, making civil service tasks much easier.
The QR codes cover a total of eight types, including birth/death/marriage/divorce reports, family relation applications, moving-in reports, resident registration abstracts, and resident ID card reissuance applications, allowing users to instantly check the necessary sample forms and fill them out anywhere in the civil petition office.
A county official said, “We expect that the QR code service will further increase the satisfaction of residents visiting the civil petition office,” and added, “We will continue to provide advanced administrative services reflecting residents’ needs and the changing times.”
