"Leveraging Experience as External Director to Spread Asan Entrepreneurship Across Society"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Asan Nanum Foundation announced on the 8th that it has appointed Jang Seok-hwan, CEO of Hana Set Corporation, as the new chairman. The term is two years until November 2023.
Chairman Jang Seok-hwan is currently serving as the CEO of Hana Set Corporation and has been serving as an outside director of Asan Nanum Foundation since 2017. He has also served as CEO of Idea Bridge Asset Management and Qno Metal Technologies.
Chairman Jang said, "I feel a sense of responsibility as I have been appointed as the new chairman of Asan Nanum Foundation, but at the same time, I am looking forward to it. Based on my experience as an outside director of the foundation, I will strive to spread Asan's entrepreneurial spirit throughout the startup and social innovation ecosystem."
Asan Nanum Foundation is a public interest foundation launched to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the late Asan Chung Ju-yung, founder of Hyundai, and was established in October 2011. It conducts projects to spread entrepreneurial spirit for the next generation, support youth startups by discovering prospective entrepreneurs and supporting startup infrastructure, and strengthen the capabilities of social innovators who will create a sustainable future society.
