Seoul City-Hugel-Kia Daechuk, Support 12,000 Cosmetics to Vulnerable Groups

Ceremony Held on the 9th to Distribute Cosmetics to Vulnerable Women

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 8th that it will support over 12,000 cosmetics to vulnerable women in collaboration with Hugel and Korea Food for the Hungry International. The delivery ceremony will be held on the 9th at the 10th-floor conference room of Seoul City Hall Seosomun Building 2.

Attending the ceremony are Lee Won-mok, Director of Citizen Cooperation Bureau, Jin Yoon-jin, Executive Director of Hugel, and Park Jae-beom, Division Head of Food for the Hungry. The cosmetics donated by Hugel will be delivered through Food for the Hungry to vulnerable women recommended by Seoul, such as women’s shelters and facilities for people with mental disabilities.

In February, Seoul City also supported about 35,000 cosmetics for vulnerable women and youth in collaboration with Hugel and Food for the Hungry. This time, 12,262 cosmetics including serums, toners, and ampoules, which vulnerable women struggling due to COVID-19 can use practically in daily life, will be provided.

Jin Yoon-jin, Executive Director of Hugel, said, "We have been steadily supporting cosmetics with Seoul City throughout this year so that vulnerable women can take care of themselves without worry. Hugel Wellage will continue to carry out social contribution activities for women in the blind spots of society."

Park Jae-beom, Division Head of Food for the Hungry, said, "In the ongoing economic difficulties caused by COVID-19, I hope this sharing event today will be a meaningful occasion to offer comfort and courage to vulnerable women. I hope that with more helping hands, a happy world for all will be created."
