Cultivation Know-How and Field Training Learned from Experts by Item
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 7th that it has promoted the ‘On-site Consulting for Practical Application of New Technologies in Regional Specialized Crops’ targeting peach and minari farms.
The ‘On-site Consulting for Practical Application of New Technologies in Regional Specialized Crops’ is conducted by inviting crop-specific experts to the field for farming groups or corporations, where they demonstrate pruning and trimming techniques and provide Q&A sessions on soil management and pest control.
In last month’s training, an agricultural meister was invited to the peach farms in Woldeung-myeon to transfer cultivation know-how such as pest control methods and fertilization techniques, and directly demonstrate peach branch pruning and trimming.
In the previous training, an agricultural product auctioneer and a former agricultural researcher were invited to Dangdu Village Hall in Haeryong-myeon to provide minari cultivation education and teach methods for determining appropriate pricing.
A representative from the Suncheon Agricultural Policy Division stated, “We will continue to promote the cultivation of regional specialized crops through various training and support projects to improve farm household incomes.”
