KT M&S Collaboration and Experience Specialty Store Opening
KT M&S opened a large-scale experiential specialty store for Disney character products, covering 76 pyeong, within Times Square Yeongdeungpo, the largest shopping mall in southwestern Seoul, on the 7th.
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] KT Plaza Garosugil and Suyu branches have transformed into Disney collaboration stores featuring Disney goods. In Yeongdeungpo Times Square, a large-scale experiential store specializing in Disney characters, spanning 76 pyeong, has opened.
KT M&S announced that following the renewal and reopening of KT Plaza Garosugil and Suyu branches as Disney collaboration stores on the 1st, they opened a large-scale experiential specialty store for Disney character products, covering 76 pyeong, at Yeongdeungpo Times Square, the largest shopping mall in southwestern Seoul, on the 7th.
Customers can simultaneously experience KT media products such as Disney Plus(+) and Disney goods at the collaboration and experiential specialty stores.
To commemorate the opening, KT M&S is offering a 10% discount on all Disney goods at KT Plaza Garosugil and Suyu branches, along with Disney authentic gift giveaways based on purchase amounts. Customers who purchase at the specialized experiential store in Times Square will also receive Disney authentic tumblers and mugs as gifts, and visitors will be given souvenirs just for stopping by.
KT M&S is the first domestic telecommunications distribution company to sign an official licensing agreement with The Walt Disney Company Korea and is currently selling and distributing Disney products.
Kim Young-ho, CEO of KT M&S, stated, “We are boldly breaking away from the limitations of being a wired and wireless telecommunications distribution company and entering the distribution business of various non-telecommunication products,” adding, “We plan to grow into a distribution specialist company based on an offline store platform where customers can visit comfortably anytime.”
Meanwhile, KT M&S plans to expand its currently operated nationwide 250 stores into customer experiential spaces, providing customers with opportunities to experience various cross-industry products, including Disney goods.
