Korean Federation of Trade Unions National Fire Safety Officials Labor Union Gangwon Headquarters Wonju Branch Launch Ceremony to be Held at 10 AM on the 6th
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Wonju branch of the Gangwon Headquarters of the National Fire Safety Officials Labor Union held its inauguration ceremony at 10 a.m. on the 6th in the main conference room of the Wonju Fire Station.
On this day, attendees included Kwak Do-young, Chairman of the Provincial Council; Park Byung-gu, Provincial Assembly member; Lee Sook-eun, Wonju City Council member; Woo Hae-seung, Chairman of the Wonju City Hall Public Officials Union; Moon Seong-ho, Secretary General; Hong Soon-tak, Chairman of the National Fire Safety Union; Woo Nam-cheol, Chairman of the Gangwon Headquarters of the National Fire Safety Union; Choi Chang-ok, Head of the Sokcho branch of the Gangwon Headquarters; Jeong Hae-il, Head of the Donghae branch of the Gangwon Headquarters; Park Tae-young, Head of the Korea Federation of Trade Unions Public Relations Volunteer Group; singers Kim Min-kyo and Noh Soo-hyun; Kim Jae-joong, Chairman of the Wonju Regional Branch; Koo Ja-yeol, former Secretary to the Governor; and Cha Joo-young, Director of Chamzon.
Additionally, video congratulatory messages were sent by National Assembly members Lee Kwang-jae (Democratic Party, Gangwon Wonju City Gap), Min Hyung-bae (Democratic Party), and Choi Hyuk-jin, Co-chairman of the Democratic Party’s Social Economy Committee (former Secretary at the Blue House Economic Secretariat), celebrating the inauguration of the Wonju branch of the Korea Federation of Trade Unions Firefighters Union Gangwon Headquarters.
The current main projects promoted by the Gangwon Headquarters include ▲enactment of a presumed injury law to strengthen the treatment of line-of-duty deaths and injuries ▲gradual establishment of a Firefighter Physical and Mental Training Center in Gangneung, Gangwon Province ▲reorganization of dispatch teams due to malfunctions of automated fire alarm systems, establishment of legal and institutional defense rights for paramedics ▲introduction of a 119 safety allowance ▲increase in rescue and emergency activity allowances ▲realistic adjustment of night dispatch snack expenses ▲improvement of work schedules, and other reforms aimed at improving unreasonable firefighting systems to enhance employees’ working environments.
In his inaugural address, Park Ho-gun, head of the Wonju branch, expressed his aspirations, stating, “Through communication with employees and union members, we will promote union activities that resonate with members, represent their interests, improve a safe and favorable working environment, and do our best to enhance the rights and benefits of our workplace colleagues.”
