Gyeongnam Gimhae-si Selected for Excellence Award in Proactive Administration with 'Patent Formwork'

Development and Application Results of Speed Bump Mobile Formwork

Gimhae City, Gyeongnam, received the Excellence Award in the Active Administration category at the Innovation and Active Administration Integrated Competition held on the 3rd.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, received an Excellence Award in the Active Administration category at the ‘Innovation and Active Administration Provincial Integrated Competition’ hosted by Gyeongsangnam-do on the 3rd.

The city recently won the ‘Innovation Champion Certification Plaque’ hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and achieved results again in this competition.

Gyeongsangnam-do held the competition to discover and disseminate various changes and innovation achievements, establish a culture of provincial innovation and active administration, and ensure clear satisfaction felt by residents.

The city’s Road Department presented the case titled ‘Speed Bumps, Now Let’s Pass Safely and Smoothly’ at the competition and was recognized as a model in the active administration category.

The city developed a movable mold for speed bumps, obtained a job invention patent, and applied it in practice to reduce the speed of passing vehicles to below 30 km/h.

The mold will be installed on speed bumps within the region, and of course, the patented technology will be shared with other local governments as well.
