[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] On the 5th, the People Power Party's Election Countermeasures Committee appointed dermatologist Ham Ik-byeong, director of Ham Ik-byeong & Esther Clinic, former National Assembly Vice Speaker Park Ju-seon, and No Jae-seung, CEO of the coffee edit shop Black Water Port, as co-chairs of the election committee.

Lee Yang-su, the committee's chief spokesperson, announced this personnel appointment at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, on the same day.

Regarding Director Ham Ik-byeong, the chief spokesperson said, "He is a non-politician with high recognition," adding, "He has demonstrated sound values on broadcasts and has represented the stories of the people and the commoners extensively."

CEO No is a figure who gained attention as the so-called 'Beanie Left' after climbing onto the campaign vehicle for the Seoul mayoral by-election in April wearing a beanie and delivering a speech supporting then-candidate Oh Se-hoon.

Former Vice Speaker Park is a senior politician from Honam and publicly supported candidate Yoon Seok-yeol from the primary process.

Im Tae-hee, former Chief Presidential Secretary during the Lee Myung-bak administration, has been appointed as the head of the General Situation Headquarters, mainly responsible for the practical work of Kim Jong-in, the overall election committee chairman. Regarding the role of the General Situation Headquarters, the chief spokesperson explained, "It will check the overall situation of the election committee and ensure that each organization can organically cooperate by unit."

Additionally, former Blue House Chief Economic Secretary Kang Seok-hoon was named policy director within the candidate's secretariat, while lawyer Lee Sang-min, Busan City economic advisor Park Seong-hoon, and former Blue House Chief of Employment and Welfare Kim Hyun-sook were appointed as policy committee members within the secretariat.

The chief spokesperson said, "There is a possibility that the personnel plan will be discussed at a closed supreme council meeting tomorrow," adding, "Additional appointments will continue going forward."
