[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] In a hospital in Pohang, Gyeongbuk, 66 COVID-19 cases were confirmed over two days.

According to Pohang, Gyeongbuk, on the 3rd, a caregiver who was tested due to symptoms was confirmed positive on the 4th. Following this, all residents and medical staff were tested, resulting in 65 confirmed COVID-19 cases on the morning of the 5th.

It was found that about 270 inpatients and around 30 medical personnel, totaling approximately 300 people, work or reside in this hospital.

The quarantine authorities have placed the 3rd floor, where the cases occurred, under cohort isolation, and plan to transfer patients on the 1st and 2nd floors to other hospitals.
