[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The National Mokpo University Institute of Island Culture (Director Hong Seok-jun) and the Jeollanam-do Cultural Foundation (CEO Kim Seon-chul) signed a business agreement on the 2nd at the conference room of the Institute of Island Culture at Mokpo University to establish a cooperative network.
According to Mokpo University on the 3rd, the agreement includes joint planning and cooperation in promoting public contest projects or planning projects, mutual consultation on major policies and projects, cooperation in fostering regional cultural professionals, as well as discovering and promoting projects for the preservation of regional cultural diversity and sustainable development.
The Jeollanam-do Cultural Foundation is a cultural specialized institution that carries out various projects such as supporting cultural and artistic creation and dissemination, and cultural heritage investigation and research to support the cultural and artistic activities of Jeonnam residents. It strives to create a virtuous cycle ecosystem of welfare for artists in Jeollanam-do and the cultural economy.
Hong Seok-jun, director of the Institute of Island Culture, said, "Through the agreement with the Jeollanam-do Cultural Foundation, we will promote various projects to spread the island and maritime culture of Jeonnam," adding, "We will strive for regional cultural development in connection with the Humanities Korea Plus (HK+) project currently underway at the Institute of Island Culture."
