Ssangyong C&E Conducts '2021 SarangON Campaign' for Heating-Vulnerable Households

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Ssangyong C&E visited the Seongbuk District Office in Seoul on the 3rd as part of the '2021 SarangON Campaign' to help vulnerable groups have a warm winter, delivering 6,000 briquettes and 210 kg of kimchi.

Ssangyong C&E's '2021 SarangON Campaign' is a social contribution activity aimed at supporting vulnerable groups around us, such as elderly people living alone and grandparent-headed households, who must endure a cold winter due to the impact of COVID-19, so that they can spend a warmer winter even if just a little.

Every year, Ssangyong C&E has carried out various social contribution activities, including personally delivering briquettes of love and providing kimchi made during kimjang with employees to vulnerable groups. However, considering the ongoing COVID-19 situation since last year, this year the company omitted the briquette delivery volunteer activity involving employees and replaced it with a donation item delivery event.

Hyun-joon Lee, CEO of Ssangyong C&E, said, "We delivered briquettes of love and kimchi made during kimjang to support neighbors facing increasingly difficult economic conditions due to COVID-19," adding, "We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities to support marginalized neighbors."

Ssangyong C&E conducts various volunteer activities, including briquette volunteer work, not only at its headquarters but also in Donghae and Yeongwol, where its production plants are located. Ssangyong C&E plans to continue expanding various social contribution activities for vulnerable groups in the future.
