[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Seoul City announced that as of 6 PM on the 2nd, the number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases was provisionally counted at 930.
Compared to the same time frame, this is 16 more than the 914 cases on the 1st and 12 fewer than the 942 cases a week ago (November 25). The total number of confirmed cases for the entire day was 2,268 on the 1st and 1,742 on the 25th of last month.
The daily confirmed cases in Seoul first reached the 1,000 mark on September 24 with 1,221 cases, then remained relatively stable for a while before soaring to 1,004 on the 2nd of last month. Subsequently, the city recorded its highest numbers five times last month: 1,436 on the 16th, 1,734 on the 23rd, 1,760 on the 24th, 1,888 on the 26th, and 2,222 on the 30th. On the 1st, the record was broken again with 2,268 cases.
As of 6 PM on this day, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Seoul was provisionally counted at 159,704. The final total number of confirmed cases will be compiled as of midnight on the 3rd and announced in the morning.
