Gyeongnam National University 'Saemaeul Club' Officially Launched

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 2nd, Gyeongnam National University held the '2021 Academic Year Saemaeul Club Launch Ceremony' at the 3rd floor auditorium of Hanma Hall.

In October, Gyeongnam National University signed a mutual cooperation agreement with the Saemaeul Movement Central Association to establish an organic mutual cooperation system for youth Saemaeul Movement, including realizing carbon neutrality and establishing, operating, and managing student Saemaeul Movement clubs.

The newly launched Gyeongnam National University Saemaeul Club plans to carry out various activities based on the Saemaeul spirit, such as educational volunteering in the region, rural service, environmental cleanup, caring for marginalized neighbors, and talent donation.

At the launch ceremony, 52 club members, including the advising professor Professor Baek Woon-hyo and the president Song Ji-hye (3rd year, Department of Law), pledged to spread and serve their capabilities as future leaders who take the lead in solving climate and regional issues in line with the vision of 'Gyeongnam National University opening the future together with the region' throughout the local community.
