[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) has published "The 10-Year Footsteps of the Bodeumnuri Project."
The district marked the 10th anniversary of the Dongdaemun-style welfare community Bodeumnuri Project, which overcame the limitations of public funding, and published a book containing past activities and achievements to promote the project more widely and enhance the pride of participants.
Comprising a total of 405 pages, "The 10-Year Footsteps of the Bodeumnuri Project" includes ▲ Dongdaemun-gu Bodeumnuri - 10 Years of Progress, Awards, Bodeumnuri in the Media ▲ Every Corner Bodeumnuri - Activities of 14 Dong Hope Welfare Committees ▲ My Bodeumnuri Story - Bodeumnuri Essays, Goodwill Cases, Sponsors over 10 Years ▲ Bodeumnuri by Your Side - Welfare Facilities, and more.
The district produced the book by adding photos and illustrations to the text to help residents easily understand the Bodeumnuri Project.
"The 10-Year Footsteps of the Bodeumnuri Project" was distributed and made available at each department of Dongdaemun-gu Office, 14 dong community centers, and libraries located in Dongdaemun-gu.
Additionally, to allow any resident to easily access it, the book was also posted on the Dongdaemun-gu Office website (Administrative Information → District Publications → Promotional Materials).
You Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “The Bodeumnuri Project, which started to overcome the limitations of public finances through public-private cooperation and to eliminate welfare blind spots in the community, has reached its 10th anniversary. I hope that this book, containing the contents and achievements so far, will be used as a valuable resource to share the vision and values of the resident-led Dongdaemun-gu welfare community and to anticipate the welfare paradigm in the post-COVID-19 era.”
